Our team of talented professionals with many years of experience in the industry are keen to share their knowledge with others already engaged in agricultural activities as well as with newcomers to the field.

  • We have increased the water supply of the area surrounding Kattambuwawa Tank in Kurunegala from 19 to 40 acres through our restoration projects.  This project has enabled approximately 150 families to cultivate their land successfully.
  • The capacity of the Aluthwawa Tank in Hambantota was increased from 5 Arc. ft to 60 Arc. ft through the removal of aquatic plants and silt.  Thus, we have managed to increase cultivatable area from 250 to 700 acres.

Thermal Gasifier for steam boilers

The Company set up in 2008 a Biomass gasification system using gliricidia to operate the steam boilers, which were using imported furnace oil.

The system can replace 1 litre of furnace oil with 4 kgs of dried and processed gliricidia at 20% moisture level.

The gasifier is capable of delivering 1200 kw which is equivalent to a diesel consumption of 95 liters per hour.

Branches of mature gliricidia trees are harvested every 6 months from Plantations grown in coconut estates in a sustainable manner.

The process of collecting, processing and supplying gliricidia fuel wood enables the growers to be self-employed, whilst saving foreign exchange to the country.
